Veeraraghava Perumal Pazhayakayal is a small east facing temple with a single prakaram. A small gate is at the entrance in the east. This is followed by a large courtyard with the balipeedam and the Mahamandapam through another gateway. An Ardha Mandapam is before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. The sanctum sanctorum along with the Ardha Mandapam is a beautiful structure with excellent carvings on the outside walls. The main deity is a 5 feet tall idol in a standing posture.

Veeraraghava Perumal Pazhayakayal is an ancient temple looking from the architecture style and the carvings. Historical information is not available as of now. Some flooring work has been done around the sanctum and the base has been covered up with the possibility of some inscriptions having been lost.
