Venkatachalapathi Ottapidaram is a small east-facing temple situated in a single beautiful Prakaram. The entrance is through a gateway in the east. Goddesses Sreedevi and Bhoodevi are along with the main deity on either side. There are some nice ornamental carvings on the sanctum sanctorum walls. A small Mandapam and Ardha Mandapam are in front of the sanctum sanctorum. Kappalottiya Tamizhan (VO Chidambaram) is said to have visited the Venkatachalapathi Ottapidaram temple to worship the Lord. This is also the village where VO Chidambaram was born and lived. His home has been converted into a library now. Panchalankurichi, from where Veerapandiya Kattabomman ruled is about 3 kilometers away.
