Pattabhiramar Pappankulam is an east-facing temple with 2 Prakarams. The temple is entered through a gateway Mandapam. Balipeedam, Kodimaram, and Garuda Mantapam are in the outer Prakaram facing the entrance to the inner Prakaram. The outer Prakaram is large and has a paved circumambulatory pathway. The sides of the Prakaram are filled with weeds and trees. The inner Prakaram has a long and large Mandapam and has many beautifully carved Yaali Pillars on both sides. This is followed by another Mandapam which has a small gopuram on top. The Ardha Mantapam and Antralaya lead into the Sanctum Sanctorum where the lord is a beautiful Stucco image. An old Muruga temple and a beautiful ancient Shiva temple are in the same village. Outside in the main road going towards Tenkasi is another ancient Shiva Temple.

Pattabhiramar Pappankulam is about 12 kilometers west of Mukkudal in the Tenkasi Road. Thiruvenkadu Pappankulam is about 12 kilometers northwest of Ambasamudram via Edaikkal. From the Pappankulam junction take a left and go on for about half a kilometer to reach the temples which are close to each other.
None locally. The closest is Ambasamudram. There are many restaurants and a few hotels to stay in Ambasamudram. The food at Gowri Shankar is decent and so are the rooms.
