Venkatachalapathi Sattur is a small east-facing temple situated in a single long Prakaram. On either side of the main sanctum are the shrines of the Goddess and Aandal. There are mandapams leading inside from the entrance through a gate in the east. There is a Maha Mandapam and an Ardha Mandapam before the sanctum sanctorum. The main deity is a beautiful idol in standing posture with consorts. The Vaippar river flows south of the Venkatachalapathi Sattur temple.

Venkatachalapathi Sattur is on the northern bank of the Vaippar River inside Sattur Town. Sattur is 26 kilometers south of Virudunagar on the Tirunelveli Highway (NH 44). There is a Shiva temple behind.
