Brahadeeswarar Kazhipattur is a small temple where the main deity and Kalabhaurava are believed to be ancient. The east facing temple is entered through a gate in the north. The temple has a single small Prakaram where all the shrines are situated. There is a small and protected lotus pond to the north of the temple. There is an old stone carving of Kali kept separately.

History

Brahadeeswarar Kazhipattur was built up in recent times from the remnants found which only included the Shiva Lingam and Kalabhairava idols. The exact historical information is not available as of now.

Legend

The name of the village is believed to have come from ‘Kali’, Goddess’s stone carving found here at Brahadeeswarar Kazhipattur.
