Vrithagireeswarar Unamancheri is a small east facing temple. The Navagrahas here are arranged in a circle all facing different directions, unlike the usual formation. Vrithagireeswarar Unamancheri temple is protected with a compound wall. The Lingam is large and beautiful.

Vrithagireeswarar Unamancheri was discovered with only the ancient Lingam. The locals named the lord as Vrithagireeswarar and started building up and installed the other deities.

Vrithagireeswarar Unamancheri is 1.25 kilometers south from the Bus stop at Kolapakkam Village which is 3 kilometers before Vandalur when you come from Kelambakkam, Mambakkam side. The temple is located in a narrow lane towards the end of Unamancheri Village. There is also a Rama Temple nearby. See our map below for exact location.
