Kalayana Srinivasa Perumal Oushadagiri is an old temple built on a hill which is said to contain medicinal plants. The temple is reached by climbing about 500 steps. The temple has only the sanctum and a Mantapa on top. The climb is not very difficult. There are a lot of monkeys and you have to take care. Once people enter the Mantapa the grill doors are kept closed to avoid them coming inside to trouble the devotees. The Perumal here is seen wearing a Saree as the goddess is believed to be part of him and in his heart.
