Karunakara Perumal Paiyanoor is an old east facing temple situated on the banks of the common temple tank of this temple and the nearby Etteeswarar Temple. The small temple has deities in the sanctum niches unlike most of the Vishnu temples. A stone Dwajasthambam is present here. Also seen around the temple are idols of Mahavishnu, Mahalakshmi and Narasimha.
