Agasteeswarar Villipakkam is an east-facing temple that is entered through a gateway mandapam in the south. Outside on the mandapam is a large Vinayaka facing south and another one inside facing north. There is a large courtyard in front with a closed entrance in the east. A balipeedam, flagstaff, and a Nandi are facing the lord in the outer prakaram. This Prakaram is large and is beautifully paved and well maintained. On the south side is a shrine for Sastha. In the southwest is an old carving of Vinayaka. On the northeast side in front is the separate shrine of the Goddess. The inner Prakaram is entered through a large mandapam. Around the inner prakaram are various deities mentioned above. The inner Prakaram is completely covered. The outer walls of the sanctum sanctorum are beautifully carved.

Agasteeswarar Villipakkam is about 115 kilometers south of Chennai off the East Coast Road. At Thenbakkam junction take a right towards the west into the road going to Chunampet. Agasteeswarar Villipakkam is 5.5 kilometers on this road.
