Sivan Veerabogam is an old east facing temple that has been completely lost except for some scattered stones. The Lingam and idols had been present in the open for sometime till some people from Chennai came here and identified the ancient nature of the temple and erected a shed to protect the idols. We understand efforts are on to raise funds to revive the temple. A representative arrangement of stones indicate the borders of the temple and hopefully, things should improve soon. The Vasantharayar idol is a stone carving and we are unable to understand the significance, though the local lady who guided us said it is an important and rare deity in these parts. The Ganesha idol which looks more like a lingam, at first sight, has the carving of his mount, Mouse, on it.
