Thiruvaleeswarar Koovathur is an old east facing temple with a new 5 tiered Rajagopuram at the east. A large temple tank is present just outside and to the north east of the temple. Thiruvaleeswarar Koovathur is a well maintained beautiful temple. The Kumbabishekam was performed in 1913 and recently in 2017. The Lingam here is 16 faced.
