Govindarajaperumal Kalkulam is a small east facing temple with a single Prakaram. This temple can do with attention. A tall monolith dwajasthamba with carvings of Anjaneya, Garuda, Sangu and Chakra on the base of each side is installed before the entrance. An entrance gateway leads inside the temple. This gateway has got a couple of carved pillars. This is followed by the Prakaram after which is Mantapa before entering the sanctum sanctorum. this Mantapa has carvings of fishes, snake and moon on the ceiling.

Drive for 8 kilometers crossing Natham junction to reach Kalkulam Road on your right. Drive straight in this road for 3.25 kilometers to reach Govindarajaperumal Kalkulam.
