Adikesava Perumal Kavathur is an ancient temple with many carvings on the pillars of the Mantapam. the temple faces east and entrance is through a large gateway. An old stone Dwajasthambam with carvings of Anjaneya, garuda, Changu and Chakra is seen just outside the gateway. Anjaneya is in a separate shrine on the opposite side facing the Lord. A temple car is also present. The temple was undergoing renovation during our visit in 2017.

Adikesava Perumal Kavathur is about 12 kilometers east of both Madurantakam and Karunguzhi. You can go from Karungizhi in the road to Kinar and drive on to the temple. From Madurantakan town go via Devadur. Refer our map below for exact location.
