Adikesava Perumal Kavathur is an ancient temple with many carvings on the pillars of the Mantapam. the temple faces east and entrance is through a large gateway. An old stone Dwajasthambam with carvings of Anjaneya, garuda, Changu and Chakra is seen just outside the gateway. Anjaneya is in a separate shrine on the opposite side facing the Lord. A temple car is also present. The temple was undergoing renovation during our visit in 2017.
