Agasteeswarar Kavanur is a small remote and forgotten temple outside the village. The temple is entered through a gate in the south. There is a large closed gateway in the east. A beautiful Nandi is present outside this gateway. A single small Prakaram houses all the shrines and the Sanctum Sanctorum. there is no Vimaana over the sanctum. Another Nandi faces the lord in the Prakaram. An old and damaged Nandi is kept outside the compound. The sanctum niches are empty except for Dakshinamurthy and Durga which are also not the original ones. An old Shiva Lingam is also present behind the main deity in the Prakaram. An old and damaged but simple idol of Vinayaka is present in a neglected state.
