Valleeswarar Melavurkuppam is an old temple which has been completely lost till a few years back. Someone has taken up the cause and at the time of our visit we found that reclamation and renovation work was on. There is a large temple tank behind the temple and indications are there for this to have been a large temple. There is no compound wall and the temple is insecure. Valleeswarar Melavurkuppam is in a beautiful location and we will definitely come back soon with some more information and good news!

Valleeswarar Mevalurkuppam is about 3 kilometers north from Thandalam, a little distance after Chembarambakkam in the Chennai – Bangalore highway, Saveetha University is a landmark. Take the fork to enter Thandalam and take an immediate right to drive on and reach Valleeswarar Mevalurkuppam.
