Legend

Vedapureeswarar Alandur could be also connected with the legend of Sage Bringi who spent time in these parts. The adjacent St.Thomas Hill used to be called Bringi Malai in the ancient days which has been corrupted to the present name of Parangi Malai.

Vedapureeswarar Alandur is off the Guindy – Airport road. Take left and below the Kathipara Flyover, take left at Easwaran Koil street after the Le Meridian Hotel to reach Vedapureeswarar Alandur.
