Neelamanicka Perumal Nerumbur is a small east facing temple situated on the east banks of the Palar River. The river takes a turn near the temple and runs south for a short distance before turning east again. The single prakaram is filled with flowering plants and presents a beautiful picture. The entrance is through a gateway. The temple is well maintained and regularly attended to. The Palar river which is west of the temple here separates into two a little way before and joins together just after the temple.
