Murugan, Kumaramalai is a small hill temple reachable through a short flight of steps. The temple is west facing. The main deity is a child Muruga with a small tuft on his tuft resembling a brahmin. There is a beautiful lotus pond below.

Legend

Lord Muruga is believed to have given darshan here to a devotee who could not reach Palani temple, carrying a Kavadi, due to his old age.

Directions

Murugan, Kumaramalai is about 12 kilometers west of Pudukottai. On Pudukottai to Manapparai Road take a left after Perumanadu to reach Murugan, Kumaramalai.
