Sundareswarar, Kulipirai

Sundareswarar, Kulipirai is an old east facing temple which has been renovated in recent times. All the shrines are inside a single prakaram. A temple tank is behind on the western side. There are two 3 tiered gopurams at the entrances on the east and south. The one in the south has a mantapam before the gopuram. The spacious prakaram has been laid with stones and there are corridors in front and south side of the sanctum and shrines. The ceilings of these corridors are nicely re-painted with murals which seems to have existed before for sometime. There are 2 Dwarapalakas at the entrance of the Sanctum Sanctorum. The pillars and the sanctum walls are all nicely carved and renovated recently. There is a Flag staff and well in front of the entrance to the sanctum. A staircase leads to the top from where it is possible to get a view of the top of the sanctum and shrines.
