Pasupatheeswarar Marur is an east facing temple with entrance from the main road in the south. This is a small and beautiful temple full of flowering plants, amidst coconut and plantain groves. A Panneer Pushpa tree and Vilva tree are found inside the temple.

Legend

From the Lord’s name and the presence of a carving, we assume that Pasupatheeswarar Marur temple should have a mythology based on a cow shedding its milk in a mound under which this Lingam would have been discovered.
