Ramaswamy Temple, Kumbakonam is a medium sized but grand temple with a large 5 tiered Rajagopuram, two Prakarams and a large mantapa filled with exquisite carvings. Lord Rama is seen here in a seated position with his brothers just as he would have been in Ayodhya. Hanuman is seen with a Veena in one hand and Ramayana written in palm leaves in another hand as if he is musically reciting Ramayana to the Lord, his Brothers and Sita.
