Agastheeswaraswamy Arungulam Temple is an ancient temple which is in bad state today, but some renovation work has started recently. The temple strangely has Garuda in the Mantapam top. Some ancient carvings and idols are seen around. Agastheeswaraswamy Arungulam is an east facing, small but ancient temple with no walls or entrance gopuram. Two adjoining Nandis, one facing west towards Shiva and one in front facing north towards Amman can be seen here.
