Prasanna Rajagopalaswamy Cholavaram is a small and beautiful east facing temple with a 3 tiered Rajagopuram at the entrance. The temple has a Navagraha shrine. Strangely the goddess shrine is absent. Goddesses Sreedevi and Bhoodevi are with the lord as part of the processional deities and kept before the main deity. Srinivasa Perumal is present in a small niche behind the main sanctum sanctorum. 15 feet high statues of Anjaneya and Garuda are new additions found behind the sanctum sanctorum.

History

Prasanna Rajagopalaswamy Cholavaram looks old and is said to be a Chola period temple by the priest. The pillars in the inner Mantapa and some elements seem to indicate the same.
