Anganadeeswarar Madavilam is a large east facing temple with a large 5 tiered Rajagopuram at the east entrance. The entire temple is situated in a single Prakaram. Just before the sanctum is the Thirupugazh Mantapam. There is a Vaahana Mantapam in the south west corner. Several old idols are found lying around the sanctums including Vinayaka, Brahma and Dakshinamurthy.

History

Anganadeeswarar Madavilam is several centuries old as is evident from the large number of inscriptions found in the base of the sanctum’s outer walls. However the exact historical information is not available as of now.
