Saleeswarar Perumukkal is a large temple with 2 Prakarams. A 3 tiered Rajagopuram with some small beautiful carvings is present at the east. There are many Mantapas all around. The entire temple is dilapidated in various stages, but the temple is in worship. The shiva Lingam is a tall idol. There are many broken idols including Muruga, Ganesha and Nandi. The goddess shrine is facing south but the idol had been removed, maybe for renovation. A long line of beautiful elephant carvings is found on top of the wals of the inner Prakaram. A large temple tank is found south of the temple.
