Kasi Viswanathar, Kanyakumari is an east-facing temple with a large temple tank in front. The temple has a large courtyard in front which extends around the outer Prakaram. In this Prakaram is a separate south-facing shrine for Dakshinamurthy. The inner Prakaram is entered through a door. This Prakaram has a well and houses the sanctum sanctorum. The main deity is a small lingam and the goddess is a 4 feet tall idol. There is a Mukha Mandapam, a common Maha Mandapam for main deity and goddess, and an Ardha Mandapam. The campus has lots of trees and presents a beautiful picture.
