Agastheeswarar Ullavoor is a small and recently renovated old temple. The temple had lost patronage and sheen over the years and only recently, thanks to the articles in local media, many people came to know about this ancient temple and contributed physically and monetarily to its renovation and upkeep. The neglected temple tank found on the southern side with steps leading down was cleaned up. There is no compound wall or protection of any sort still and that is also expected to come up shortly. During its neglected state lot of snakes used to come inside and could be seen wound around the Lingam. Though some lands have been donated to the temple for income, nothing is said to be coming from them due to the nature of the land and lack of proper administration. The officiating priest lives nearby. The temple presents a picture of beauty in its surroundings.
