Pattamudeeswarar Pichivakkam is an ancient east facing temple with an entrance gate from south. The temple has two Prakarams, one inside around the sanctum sanctorum and one outside. In the inner Prakaram are the God and Goddess and other deities. The smooth round pillars inside are very beautiful. The outer Prakaram is filled with flowering plants and wild growth. The Lingotbavar is very large. In the north east corner is found a Large shiva lingam. There are two Nandis, one ancient and the other one relatively new looking. The temple presents a beautiful picture built amidst lush green paddy fields.

Pattamudeeswarar Pichivakkam is an ancient temple dating back to the Chola period. The ancient temple had been overgrown with weeds and neglected for a long time. Its cause was taken up and renovated in recent times.

Pattamudeeswarar Pichivakkam is between Perambakkam and Thakkolam in the Mappedu, Arakonam Road. At about 7.5 kilometers after Perambakkam take a left to reach Pichivakkam. The temple is in the outer fringes of the village.
