Choleeswarar Thuvakudi is an old east facing temple which was being painted up in 2018. There are two nandis for the lord and goddess. The one facing the goddess is quite large and looks old. An old idol of seated a seated deity is kept outside in the northern side of the sanctum. The temple does not have a Rajagopuram. The temple is in a quiet area and looks beautiful.

Choleeswarar Thuvakudi is on the south east side of Thuvakudi. On the highway to Thanjavur while going from Thiruchirapalli take a U turn at the Irrigation Management training Institute and then the third left to reach Choleeswarar Thuvakudi.
